Ilayaraja Shocks Shankar

Maestro Ilayaraja is known for his music and he has created huge sensation in the 90s with his music. He prefers to stay out of controversies and he has never been pointed in his career till date. However the latest news is that Ilayaraja has sent a legal notice to South India’s Sensational director Shankar for using his song without a prior permission or intimation. The news is that Ilayaraja’s yesteryear song Ooru Vittu Ooru Vanthu from the movie Karagattakaran has been used by Shankar in his latest production Kappal.

Vaibhav and Sonam Bajwa played the main leads in Kappal which has been released recently and is running successfully. Kappal has been produced by Shankar’s S Pictures. Ilayaraja mentioned that the makers of Kappal have not taken any prior permission and Ilayaraja has demanded a compensation for the same. He also revealed the makers should remove the song from the movie. Kappal team has a different story to say and they explained that they have obtained the permission from the music label of the song before including it in their film. Shankar is currently busy with the post production of his latest movie I which will release for Sankranthi.
