I Shakes the Box-office

Shankar's latest movie I has been released with huge expectations on January 14th during the Sankranthi season and as expected the movie has received some mind blowing openings all over. The movie has witnessed packed houses in all the regions and the movie has released in record number of theatres all over the world. The movie managed to collect Rs 10 crores in Tamil Nadu and Kerala on the first day however the movie could not touch the first day collections of Rajini’s Lingaa and Vijay’s Kaththi.

The movie minted 7 crores from the Telugu version and it collected Rs 2.1 crores in Karnataka. The movie managed to collect $2,60,000 in USA and on first day I has managed to collect Rs 22 crores. Vikam and Amy Jackson played the main leads in the movie and AR Rahman composed the music. Aascar Ravichandran produced the movie on Aascar Films banner and the movie is continuing its dream run because of Shankar, Vikram and Sankranthi season.
