Kaththi crosses Thupaaki

Vijay and Murugadoss combination first film Thupaaki has collected some magical figures at the box-office for Diwali 2012. Thupaaki was the biggest hit of Vijay till date in his career of almost 12 years. Now Murugadoss has paired with Vijay for his latest movie Kaththi which has released for Diwali 2014. The movie has released between many allegations and cases, but the movie has started with a positive word of mouth. The movie has received some unexpected openings all over and it shattered the box-office. The movie managed to collect 30 crores in 3 days which is a very big figure for a Tamil movie till date.

Now the latest update is that Kaththi has crossed the collections of Thupaaki and the movie has been still going on strong with packed houses in Tamil Nadu. The movie has collected very good overseas and emerged as the biggest hit among Vijay’s movies overseas. Samantha played the female lead in Kaththi and the music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Kaththi deals with social issues of farmers about their suicides and water allocations. AR Murugadoss directed Kaththi and Lyca Productions have produced the movie. The Telugu version of Kaththi will release on November 21st and Tagore Madhu has acquired the Telugu rights of Kaththi.
