Dhanush Punched Me : Amyra Dastur

Amyra Dastur is making her debut in Tamil opposite Dhanush in the upcoming KV Anand-directorial Anegan. She acted in Issaq opposite to Prateek Babbar in her debut film. Speaking about Anegan, she said “All I can say is that both Dhanush and I play more than one role, set across different time periods. It is tough to classify the film under one genre - it has a lot of action, adventure and thrills. It is also a love story. I have performed stunts in the film myself. I needed to take some swimming lessons because I needed to know how to swim for certain sequences”.

Amyra also added “We were shooting a particular stunt sequence and I was standing behind Dhanush, when he lifted his hand and swung it backwards, he accidentally punched me in the face. I even had a small black eye. Everyone was shocked and went quiet on the set. He was so apologetic after that because he felt so bad. I have seen films like Vikram's Sethu, actress Madhoo's films and a lot of Mani Ratnam films. I love actor Vikram's body of work. It's absolutely amazing”.
