Aagadu to Break Records in US

Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer Aagadu will will release in a record number of screens overseas. Aagadu will release in 159 screens in the US this Friday said producer Anil Sunkara. It is said to be the highest number of screens for a Telugu film. "In a record number of 159 screens, Aagadu will be the first Telugu film to have a wide release in the US. Thanks to our distribution partner Eros International, we are releasing the film in over 100 screens in north India," Anil Sunkara told media. Tollywood heartthrob Mahesh Babu has always been a consistent performer and all his films have done exceptionally well in the US box – office. Even Mahesh’s 1 Nenokkadine surprised everyone for its amazing collections in US while it failed to impress Andhra Pradesh and Telangana audience.

Mahesh Babu’s popularity has drawn the makers of Aagadu to have a screening of the film in different universities of US and other countries to check the response. Mahesh will be playing an encounter specialist. The film which is set to release on September 19 has a special song titled Junction Lo, featuring Shruti Haasan along with Mahesh Babu. Directed by Srinu Vaitla, his second film with Mahesh, "Aagadu" also features Tamannah Bhatia, Sonu Sood, Brahmanadam and Shruti Haasan in important roles.
