Makeover for Karan in his 75th film

Actor Karan, who made his debut two decades ago in Annamalai, is now getting ready for the release of his 75th film. He is starring as the lead in Kanniyum Kaalayum Sema Kadhal, directed by VC Vadivudayan, who had earlier worked with the actor in Thambi Vettothi Sundaram.

The director says that he has tried to give an image makeover for Karan. "So far, he has played villain roles and even in the movies in which he played a hero, Karan has a rugged look. In this film, I have tried to present the humorous side of him," he explains. He has brought together comedians Vivekh and Ganja Karuppu, who, he admits, have many funny onscreen moments. Stunt master Kanal Kannan and director-actor Tharun Gopi are also part of the cast. The film, a romance that involves the past and the present, has Mumbai girl Tripta Parashar as the female lead.
