Vijayalakshmi in her Dad Agathiyan’s Next

National Award-winning director Agathiyan is going to wield the megaphone once again and  this time for a project that will star his daughter, Vijayalakshmi of Chennai 600028 fame. Agathiyan's last outing in Tamil was Nenjathai Killathey in 2008 and he is back in the director's chair after an enough gap now. Sources say "Yes, Agathiyan is directing a film that is to star his daughter Vijayalakshmi as the heroine. The hero is Santosh Prathap of Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam fame. The film is being produced by Bharatirajaa and an official announcement is likely to be made soon”.

Interestingly, we hear that it was not Agathiyan who cast Vijayalakshmi as the heroine, but producer Bharathirajaa himself. "Bharathirajaa was very impressed with Vijayalakshmi and felt that she was the perfect fit for the role," adds the source. The yet-to-be-titled project, sources say, is based on the theme of travel - and what happens to the hero and heroine during the course of one day. The film will have all the classic elements - love, action and even a twist.
