Talented actor Akshay Kumar is always the first choice for patriotic films. His recent outings Holiday and Baby are of the same genre and the movies minted huge money across the world. He is back with his recent film Airlift and the film is about evacuating Indians who are struck in the civil war between Iraq and Kuwait.

Raja Krishna Menon directed the film and Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur played the lead roles. The movie released all over on January 22nd and the movie collected Rs 102.76 crores in just 10 days of its domestic box-office run.

As per the trade analysts, the movie is the first blockbuster of 2016 and the movie already earned profits by 156% in just 10 days among the domestic circles. The film’s overseas collections too have been strong and considering the domestic figures, Airlift raked huge profits.

Airlift is the biggest human evacuation that happened across the world during Iraq-Kuwait civil war and it has been placed in The Guinness Book of World Records. Nikhil Advani, Monisha Adwani, Aruna Bhatia, Madhu G. Bhojwani, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Vikram Malhotra produced Airlift on Abundantia Entertainments, Cape of Good Films, Emmay Entertainments, Hari Om Entertainments and T-Series.
