Megastar Chiranjeevi was honoured for his contribution to Telugu cinema both as an actor and as the Minister of State for Tourism at the third edition of the SIIMA (South Indian International Movie Awards) conducted in Malaysia. Dignitaries of the Malaysian Government honoured Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi with the Micromax SIIMA 2014 award for being the Indian Ambassador for cinema. Megastar Chiranjeevi graced the event to collect the award and many of the South celebrities attended the SIIMA Awards event.

The star's efforts as a film personality, as well as politician associated with tourism, has opened new destinations for cinema and taken tourism to new heights. The same was captured and screened as a presentation, before the star accepted the award. Megastar Chiranjeevi is out of movies from the past seven years and the versatile actor is now planning a comeback. He will be soon in his 150th film which will be produced by his son Ramcharan. The story of the film has not been finalized yet and the shoot of the film might start in December this year.
