Powerstar Pawan Kalyan scored a massive disaster last summer with Sardar Gabbar Singh and almost after a year, he is back with his next movie Katamarayudu. Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly) directed the movie which has been called as a family entertainer laced with loads of action episodes. Shruthi Haasan played the heroine and Pawan’s love interest in Katamarayudu and Ali, Ajay, Siva Balaji, Chaitanya Krishna, Kamal Kamaraj, Rao Ramesh and Pradeep Rawat essayed the other crucial roles. Katamarayudu released all over on March 24th all over which marked the first release during summer.

However the film received poor response from the audience all over. Katamarayudu opened to packed houses across the globe and the film collected massive figures over the first weekend. The movie has been declared as a debacle in overseas however the movie managed to stand decent across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Katamarayudu collected Rs 47.65 crores in 10 days across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Sharat Marar produced Katamarayudu on North Star Entertainments banner.
