Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has been eagerly waiting for the release of his next movie Katamarayudu from sometime. Though the movie carried low buzz and trailer remained routine, the film opened to packed houses all over. Katamarayudu released in record number of screens and the movie received decent response all over. Katamarayudu first day figures have been huge and the movie minted Rs 23.05 crores across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Kishore Pardasani directed Katamarayudu and the movie is said to be a family entertainer based in a village in Rayalaseema. Shruti Haasan played Pawan’s love interest in the movie and Ali, Ajay, Siva Balaji, Chaitanya Krishna, Kamal Kamaraju played the other crucial roles. Sharat Marar produced the movie and Anup Rubens composed the music. Here are the first day collections of the film on its first day:
