Anjaan pushes Expendables 3 release

If sources are to be believed, Expandables 3 will release in India a week after it hits screens everywhere else in the world. The global release date of Expendables 3 is on August 15th . However, in India, the film's release has been pushed by a week to August 22nd as Suriya's Anjaan too is scheduled to release on August 15th.
Apart from its English version, Expendables 3 will also be releasing in three Indian languages, namely Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, and as Suriya has a huge Tamil and Telugu fan base, those associated with the release of the Hollywood film reportedly felt that it would be better to avoid a same-day release.
Having two big films release on the same day will result in both films losing the exclusive focus that they otherwise would get. This way, it is a win-win situation for all. Expendables 3 features a big list of stars, including Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
