Shahid Kapoor to Remake a Telugu Blockbuster

The latest trend is that it is the south Indian remakes that are ruling the box office in Bollywood. The latest south film that was to be remade in Hindi is the 2009 Telugu blockbuster Ram Charan starrer ‘Magadheera’. This historical romantic drama was directed by directorial genius SS.Rajamouli and the latest buzz is that Sajid Nadiadwala, who is enjoying the success of ‘Kick’, has bought the rights of this film and he is likely to cast Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.

Talking to the media, Shahid stated that he doesn’t like to discuss projects till he starts shooting for them. However, he admitted that he has seen the original version and really loved it. Watch this space for details of this project. Shahid is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Haider’ which adapted from William Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film has Shraddha Kapoor in the main lead.  This film is slated to release on October 2nd.
