Singham Returns: The Highest Opening Day Grosser of 2014

Ajay Devgn - Kareena Kapoor starrer Singham Returns that released yesterday has gotten off to a massive start. With the film's lead actors leaving no stone unturned in promoting the film, coupled with the release day coinciding with a national holiday, Singham Returns opening figures have proved to be record breaking.

Surprisingly, Singham Returns has managed to collect approximately Rs. 30 crores on its Opening Day, out beating the previously released Salman Khan - Jacqueline Fernandez starrerKick that collected Rs. 26.40 crores. With a massive collection like this, Singham Returns has become the Highest Opening Day Grosser of 2014.

However, since the weekend still awaits, with Monday being a holiday in certain territories thanks to Gokul Asthami and Parsi New Year celebrations, what remains to be seen is whether Singham Returns breaks some of the previously established records.
