Yuvan Shankar Raja changes his Name

Legendary music director Ilayaraja’s elder son Yuvan Shankar Raja has received his own recognition with his music. Yuvan started composing for films from an early age of 17. The latest news is that Yuvan has converted to Islam a few days ago. Yuvan has also changed his name to Abdul Haliq as per the sources. Yuvan has recently composed music for Tamil movies like Vadacurry, Vanavarayan Vallavarayan, Thirudan Police and Anjaan. He also composed music for a Telugu film Govindhudu Andarivadele starring Ramcharan.

As per the latest update, Yuvan will change his name on screen with Suriya’s Masss which will be his next release after converting to Islam. Speaking on the occasion Yuvan said “It’s completely my own decision and I am attracted towards Islam and the preachings of Islam. My parents are extremely happy for what I do and they did not object me”. This has been a huge surprise for Yuvan Shankar Raja’s fans. In the past AR Rahman has converted to Islam who was originally a Hindu and his name was Dileep Kumar. Yuvan is currently busy with more than half a dozen Tamil movies which will release soon.
