Vijay’s Kaththi Roaring Loud

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Kaththi which has been released on the eve of Diwali has received exceptional response from the movie lovers. The movie opened with packed houses and returning crowds all over. The movie has collected 23.8 crore on its opening day which is huge for a Tamil movie. The strong word of mouth made the movie hold strong at the box-office. The update is that the movie has collected 71.05 crores in its opening weekend all over the world. Kaththi has collected 47.7 crores in India and 23.35 crores abroad in the first weekend. The collections are still strong on the weekdays and the movie is expected to cross 100 crore mark very soon.

Kaththi has been directed by AR Murugadoss and Vijay, Murugadoss starrer Thupaaki has been released for 2012 Diwali and ended as a huge blockbuster. Now Kaththi has been released for 2014 Diwali and is vanishing all the records shattering the box-office. Samantha played the female lead in Kaththi and Neil Nitin Mukesh has been seen in the negative role. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music and Lyca Productions have produced the movie. There has been huge demand for the remake rights and the Telugu rights have been acquired by Tagore Madhu.
