Manam and Minugurulu out of Oscar Race

It's already a known news that Telugu films Manam and Minugurulu have been shortlisted by Film Federation of India for Oscar Race. The Film Federation of India have shortlisted 30 movies and a committee has watched all the films to shortlist further. One Indian film can be sent as an official entry for the category of Best Foreign Language Film for the Oscar awards that will be announced for the year 2015. Unfortunately, the committee has not zeroed Manam or Minugurulu which are now out of the Oscar race.

Manam is an Akkineni multistarrer which has three generation actors Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. The filmed not only collected good collections, it was also the critically acclaimed movie of 2014. Minugurulu which has been directed by Ayodhya Kumar which is about a 13 year old child passionate about films who always wanted to be a filmmaker become blind in an accident. Hindi film “Liar’s dice” starring acclaimed actors Geetanjali Thapa and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been finalized as Indian film for Oscar race. Hope Liar’s Dice will win the much needed award for India.
