K Balachandar is No More

Legendary filmmaker and director K Balachandar has passed away yesterday in a private hospital in Chennai. The veteran director has complained of ill health and he has been admitted in Kauvery hospital a week back. The doctors have released an update that the director has been recovering good and is responding well. However his health has dipped again yesterday and he breathed his last at 7:30 PM yesterday. 

 

Balachandar has directed more than 100 films in Tamil and Telugu which became superhits. He has introduced legendary actors like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Prakashraj. Balachandar won many prestigious awards like Dada Saheb Phalke award and Padma Shri. Balchadar has been survived by his wife, son and daughter. Balachandar has won nine national film awards and seven filmfare awards. The whole Tamil and Telugu film industries expressed their condolences to Balchandar’s family. His funeral will take place in Chennai tomorrow.
