Kaththi completes 50 Days

Ilayathalapathy Vijay who has been seen in Kaththi ended as a massive hit which has been released for Dasara. The movie managed to collect 100 crores in just 12 days which is huge for a south Indian film. Kaththi continued its strong run and the movie completed 50 days mark. The movie has been directed by AR Murugadoss who directed Thupaki with Vijay in the past. The movie is still running in some centres in Tamil Nadu. Kaththi emerged as the biggest hit film in Tamil for the year 2014 so far.

Vijay and Samantha played the main leads in Kaththi and the movie has been produced by Lyca Productions. The movie has faced many pre release problems as the producers are close relatives of Srilankan President Mahindra Rajapaksa. Lot of protestors attacked the theatres that screened the movie. The Tamil Nadu government provided security to all the theatres and the movie finally made its way for release and collected huge money. Anirudh Ravichandar composed the music and Kaththi will soon be remade in Telugu.
