Shankar Reveals about I and Vikram

After thanking superstar Rajinikanth for making it do the audio launch despite his busy shooting schedule for 'Lingaa', director Shankar was all praise for actor Vikram. He also had a word of praise for the producer, Aascar Ravichandran who had made the audio launch a grand affair, despite the director himself wanting to have a simple launch. Talking about Vikram's performance in the film, Shankar said, "Everyone will give their life and act, but Vikram has given his body also. Everyone who has seen the film says that he will get a National Award. No one will be happy as me if that happens." 

The ace direcor signed off saying "This film is not wolfman, hulk, sci-fi and also not about Olympics or sports, It's not a fun film like 'Jeans' or 'Boys', neither is it a social film like Gentleman, Indian and Mudhalvan. It's entirely a new genre for me, a romantic thriller”. The audio of I has been launched yesterday in an event in Nehru Stadium, Chennai. Superstar Rajinikanth, Arnold Schwarzenegger graced the event. A R Rahman composed the music and Vikram, Amy Jackson played the main leads.
