Happy New Year Crosses 100 Crore Mark

King Khan Sharukh Khan’s latest movie Happy New Year has been released last Friday on the eve of Diwali and the movie has crossed 100 crore mark in its first weekend which happens to be a record for any Indian film. The movie managed to collect 108.86 crores in three days. The film has been released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in over 5000 screens in India. The movie also had a huge release in overseas in about more than 1000 screens in the foreign countries. Though the movie has opened with mixed reviews, the movie witnesses packed houses all over throughout the weekend. 

 

Happy New Year collected 44 crores on its opening day which is a record for any Indian film on day 1. The movie also collected 2 crores with its Telugu version and 94 lakhs with the Tamil version on its first day. Sharukh Khan and Deepika Padukone played the main leads in the movie which has been directed by Farah Khan. Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Abhishek Bachchan and Vivan Shah have played the other important roles in the movie. The movie has been produced by Red Chillies Entertainments by Sharukh Khan himself. Let’s wait to know the commercial strength of the film.
