Analysis :

Mukunda Movie Review

The movie starts on a slow pace with Varuntej introduction and the movie lacks the commercial elements badly. When a mega hero is introduced the movie should be either a mass entertainer or a cute love story. For our surprise the movie is an offbeat film which has several ups and downs. The first half of the movie has nothing new but goes on a lighter pace. The songs have been shot well.

The second half of the movie starts on a slower note dips badly during the run. The movie has been highly predictable which lacks interest. The songs have been misplaced and they come without any occasion. The climax is a complete fall down which makes the movie fall down flat. On the whole the second half of the movie is a failure.

Performance :

Mega Young Prince Varuntej has been stunning on screen and he has been terrific in the action episodes. He needs to work so much on his vocals and his expressions. His dances have been ok in his debut. Pooja Hegde has been beautiful and traditional in the limited role given to her. Rao Ramesh surprises everyone with a super character of a witty politician which is the highlight of the movie. All the others have done their assigned roles.

The story of the movie is the major downfall of Mukunda undoubtedly. The movie lacks the commercial elements and the screenplay has been written without any interest. The dialogues have been written well. The music and the background score are the highlights of the movie and the cinematography has been worth watching. The production values have been grand enough and the director has failed in all the things right from the story selection to the script narration.

Final Word:

Mukunda is not the right movie for the debut of Mega Prince Varuntej. Though he carried the movie on his shoulders, the slow narration and the lack of commercial elements let the movie fall down flat. Mukunda disappoints.
