Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has been quite concentrated on his next project Katamarayudu. Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly) directed the movie which is said to be the remake of Veeram, a Tamil blockbuster. Shruti Haasan played the female lead in the movie and Rao Ramesh, Ali, Ajay, Prudhvi, Siva Balaji, Kamal Kamaraj, Chaitanya Krishna played other crucial roles in the film.

Katamarayudu released last Friday and the movie minted Rs 44.60 crores in its first week. The movie managed to stay strong across the first weekend however the film dipped down badly during the weekdays. Anup Rubens composed the music and Sharat Marar produced Katamarayudu on North Star Entertainments banner. Katamarayudu collected a share of Rs 58 crores across the globe in its first week. Pawan Kalyan’s performance has been widely appreciated by the fans.

Total (AP and Telangana):  Rs 44.60 Cr
