Marmayogi

Marmayogi (English: The Mysterious Sage) is a 1951 Tamil film directed by K. Ramnoth and starring M. G. Ramachandran (MGR) and M. N. Nambiar. The screen play was written by A. S. A. Sami based on a Marie Corelli novel. This film cemented the onscreen image of MGR as a social rebel and fighter for justice. It was also made in Hindi (as Ek tha Raja) at the same time. It was the first Tamil film to receive an "A" (Adults Only) certificate from the film censor board.

Maya Bazar

Mayabazar is a 1957 bi-lingual mythological film. Primarily made in Telugu and first released in Andhra Pradesh on 27 March 1957, the Tamil version released a month later in Tamil Nadu with minor changes in cast to suit the Tamil audience. Mughal-e-Azam

Mughal-e-Azam (The Emperor of the Mughals) is a 1960 Indian film directed by K. Asif and produced by Shapoorji Pallonji. Starring Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala, and Durga Khote, the historical epic follows the love affair between Mughal Prince Salim (who went on to become Emperor Jahangir) and Anarkali, a court dancer. Salim's father, Emperor Akbar, disapproves of the relationship, which leads to a war between father and son.
