Recipe: Fish pakoda preparation

Fish is one of the best and healthy non vegetarian food. Fish pakodas can be prepared in a simple way by using following method of preparation. It can be served as a best evening snack for children.


500 gm fish - filleted and cut into desired sized pieces

For marination:

1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt

For the batter:

200 gm gram flour
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp crushed cumin
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp soda bi-carbonate
Oil for deep frying
Chaat masala

Method of preparation:

Make a thick batter with water, flour, red chilli powder, cumin, turmeric, salt and soda bi-carbonate.

Coat each slice with the batter and deep fry.

Sprinkle with chaat masala and serve with ketchup or chutney.
