Superstar Rajinikanth is currently quite busy shooting for his next movie 2.0 which is in final stages of shoot. Shankar is the director and Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist in the film. Amy Jackson is the female lead and Lyca Productions is producing 2.0 which will release during Diwali this year. Rajinikanth signed his next movie in the direction of PA Ranjith which will start rolling from May this year.
The movie is said to be an action drama and is based in Mumbai. After Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone is now considered to play the female lead in the movie. However an official announcement is awaited. The pre-production work of the movie is in final stages and this untitled project will be shot in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Dhanush will bankroll the project on Wunderbar Films banner. The movie will hit the screens early next year.
