Selvaraghavan's wife directs Malai Nerathu Mayakkam

Malai Nerathu Mayakkam, a film that Selvaraghavan had shelved for various reasons, has recommenced a weeks ago. The news is that the film isn't being directed by him, but by his wife Gitanjali. The film originally had Dhanush and Andrea playing the lead roles, but the cast of the film that has recommenced is yet to be known.

Confirming the same and also thanking Selvaraghavan, Gitanjali tweeted, "Day 7 of shoot for my directorial debut #maalainerathumayakkam it's been a super exciting and eventful week for me! Thank you @selvaraghavan for giving me such a beautiful script to work with. But more importantly for all your love and encouragement."

Encouraging his wife, the acclaimed directed tweeted, ""All the best to my wife @GitanjaliSelva on her directorial debut #maalainerathumayakkam. #Proudhusband. God bless."

The debutant director further posted ,"Like all of you I am also eagerly awaiting the next @selvaraghavan film, but he has decided to step back a bit and spend time with r kids. I have to respect @selvaraghavan the fathers decision But as a fan i hope he changes his mind soon and comes back with something explosive!".
