India’s biggest motion picture Mahabharata has been announced which left many in surprise. Though top director SS Rajamouli announced his decision that he wants to do Mahabharata one day, a surprising news stepped out that Malayalam director VA Shrikumar has been asked to direct this magnum opus. Mohanlal has been roped in to play Bheema in the movie and the makers are busy finalizing the other actors and the crew of the film. The pre-production work of Mahabharata started recently and the movie is  based on a book named Randaamoozham which has been penned by VT Vasudevan Nair.

As per the latest news, Mohanlal will be trained extensively for two years for the movie for the role of Bheema. As the film has many action episodes, Mohanlal allotted bulk dates. The regular shoot of the film will start from September 2018 and Mahabharata will release in two parts. The first installment of the film will release in 2020 and the second installment will release in three months after the first part releases. BR Shetty, a Dubai based businessman will produce the film which will release in all the Indian languages.
