Superstar Rajinikanth is back with the sequel of Robo which happened to be the biggest hit in the actor’s career. Sensational director Shankar is directing the movie and is in final stages of shoot. Amy Jackson is the female lead in the film and Akshay Kumar is named as the lead antagonist. 2.0 is said to be the costliest film made in the history of South Indian cinema. The movie has a huge dose of VFX effects throughout and is shot exclusively in 3D.

As per the latest update, the satellite deal of 2.0 has been closed for a record breaking price of Rs 110 crores which never happened for any South Indian film. Zee Network acquired the rights for such a whopping price for Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Lyca Productions are bankrolling the movie which will release during Diwali. The movie’s pre-release business has been closed in all the regions revealed a source.
