The only Indian who made us proud at the Oscars has been AR Rahman. He has received the best music director award for the movie Slumdog Millionaire that has been directed by Danny Boyle. Many Indian movies have been nominated in Oscar race in various departments but could not win award at the most prestigious awards in the world. However Rahman has been nominated again for the prestigious Oscar awards and three of his movies have been in the race.

 

As per the latest news, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced 114 movies in the field of music that have been released in 2014 for the 87th Oscar Awards. Out of these three movies of Rahman have been nominated which include The Hundred-Foot Journey, Million Dollar Arm and  Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan. Out of these 114 movies, the final nominations will be revealed on January 15th 2015 and the final Oscar awards event will take place on February 22nd, 2015. Hope Rahman will bag one more Oscar with his films for 2014.
