Papanasam in Kerala

Kamal Haasan is currently acting in the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam and the Tamil film has been titled Papanasam. Gowthami is playing the female lead with Kamal Haasan in the movie and Jeethu Joseph who directed the original version is handling the direction in Tamil too. The movie shoot has been cancelled as Kamal Haasan has been hospitalized due to food poison. Kamal Haasan has been advised for rest and the new schedule of the movie will start soon once Kamal joins the shoot.

The movie will complete the shoot in Tirunelveli and then the shoot will be shifted to Kerala in October. The unit will be shooting in the same house where the original film was shot. The house, we hear, is in fact in Thodupuzha, which is known for its scenic beauty. Minor changes are being carried out at the spot to make it look like a Tamil household.  Asha Sarath who played in the original as the police officer will be repeated for the bold IPS role. Interestingly  Asha Sarath has acted in Kannada Drishyam too. The movie will continue until the shoot of the complete film. The movie is slated for a December release.
