Slumdog Millionaire Star shoots in Chennai

Hollyood actor Dev Patel finds himself shooting in India once again - this time, in Chennai. First, it was Danny Boyle's multiple-award winning Slumdog Millionaire, that saw him brave Mumbai, and then, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which found him exploring the exotic Rajasthan.

And now, Dev is shooting for The Man Who Knew Infinity, the biopic on Indian math whiz, Srinivasa Ramanujan, right here, in Chennai. Dev is playing Ramunajan, and according to sources, the actor is all geared up in a veshti get-up, and looking exactly like how a young Ramanujan looked in those days - the resemblance is said to be uncanny.

Actress Devika Bhise is playing his wife, Janaki, and can be seen madisar-clad on the sets. "They shot in Kumbakonam for four days, then in Pondichery, and now they have a few days' shoot in Chennai. They have already shot in and around the port, and then at a college in the city. The looks of the stars are being kept under wraps, the makers are quite strict about it, and so, the whole schedule of about 10 days is being kept hush-hush. The south Indian schedule has so far gone off rather well and Dev has adapted to his costume very well," informs the source. The film is based on a book by the same name, by Robert Kanigel, and traces Ramanujan's life.
