Sanam gets Busy in Kollywood

South actress Sanam Setty of Ambuli 3D fame is back in Kollywood with two releases — Vilaasam and Katham Katham. While she missed out on some projects owing to her busy schedule in Tollywood and Mollywood, Sanam is quite elated to be back in Tamil. "My debut film in Kollywood, Ambuli 3D, had a 100-day run at the box office. Then I got busy working in Malayalam and Telugu films. But now, I am excited to be back in Kollywood," she says. Vilaasam, directed by Raja Ganesan, is a commercial film that has a strong social message. "I play the lead opposite Pavan. My role is of a college-going girl, who comes from a well-bred family. She meets this guy who is opposite to her in every way," says Sanam.

Sanam is also quite kicked about her next, Katham Katham, in which she is paired opposite Nandaa. "It is a two-hero subject starring Nandaa and Nataraj of Sathuranga Vettai fame. It is a story that talks about a honest cop and a corrupt cop. It is an action-packed thriller and I play an NGO worker, who follows a certain discipline in," she says. The film, directed by Babu Thooyavan, is likely to release in the end of this month. Meanwhile, the actress has recently signed a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. "I can't reveal too many details about the film. All I can say is that it is a romantic thriller," informs Sanam. The film directed by Kala Sandeep has Telugu actor Maanas in the lead.
