Khoobsurat A Huge hit in Pakistan

Anil Kapoor Productions in association with Walt Disney have made Khoobsurat starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the main leads. The movie ended up as an average grosser in India collecting only Rs.13.75 crore in four days. The movie had a good word of mouth but it’s not been much appreciated. Since, the movie brought together Fawad, Disney and Anil Kapoor, expectations were higher. However the story in Pakistan is absolutely different. The movie has minted 30 million USD in just three days and is going very strong in Pakistan. Fawad Khan’s fame and his Indian debut made the crowds come to the theatres over there.

Khoobsurat has done good business in International markets as well. The movie’s co release Daawat-e-Ishq received mixed reviews and it collected Rs 15.63 crores in its first four day run. The movie’s stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra had also gone on a food yatra to promote the film. As there are no big releases in the coming week, it’s a nice opportunity to pull the crowds to theatres in their second week of run so that they don’t find their names in the list of flop films. Hrithik’s Bang Bang and Shahid’s Haider are gearing up for a huge release on October 2nd.
