Banjo Analysis :

Banjo Movie Review

The first half of Banjo starts on an interesting note, however the film slips down completely even before the interval episodes. Banjo has been filled with logicless episodes which really test the patience of the audience. The songs have been decent however the major plot has been left completely away while indulging the commercial aspects into the film. On the whole the first half of Banjo has some engaging episodes but the audience will be left confused because of the narration midway.

The second half of Banjo dips down completely because of the stupid elements that have no connection with the basic plot of the film. If you are patient enough, only then will you reach the climax of this film. Though the performances have been extremely convincing, Banjo will end up as the biggest disaster because of the poor narration throughout. The basic plot has been neglected completely and the audience will be left shocked with the treatment of the second half.

Banjo Performance :

Riteish Deshmukh as Taraat is just a city version of Lai Bhaari‘s Mauli. His look and his performance have been extremely impressive but it is all the script that pulls him down. Nargis Fakhri looks stupendous on screen however she has been poor with her performance. Unfortunately she lacks the body language of a DJ and she looked terrible during the emotional episodes. Luke Kenny as Mikey has been impressive. All the other actors have been decent in their roles.

The story of Banjo has been completely sidetracked because of the mix of commercial aspects. The major plot has been left away and the screenplay along with the execution have been poor. The cinematography has been decent and some of the episodes looked realistic. The music and the background score have been apt and elevated the film well. The editing has been stupid and the production values looked decent. Ravi Jadhav fails completely in executing Banjo and turning out impressive.

Final Word:

Banjo is a film that can be given a huge skip because of its poor execution. The most boring films among music based films.
