The Commander look and the title RUSTOM raised huge expectations of the story. The film is unique and filled-up with exciting. Hero Commander Rustom Pavri's (Akshay Kumar) trial is underway in court. Akshay is a vision in white. He is an Indian Naval officer leads a happy and pleasant life in Mumbai with his Cynthia (Ileana D'Cruz). His always need to move a place to place on work for long period of time. Rustom has the charge of killing his freind Vikram Makhija (Arjan Bajwa), where Cynthia has affair with him. Prosecution lawyer Lakshman Khangani (Sachin Khedekar) pulls up Rustom for being in his pristine white uniform all the time. He goes ahead to remind the jury to not be swayed by the uniform, "Uniform ke peechhe chhupa ek criminal hai." Must Watch the movie on the screens to catch rest of the story.

The first half of the movie is exciting, gripping, Where as the second half, in certain portions narration gets somewhat sloppy of the  movie makes audience to take eye-off from the screen and shifts your eyes round the clock. But, the director manages to accelerate the pace soon again.

After films like "Baby" and "Airlift," the audience had expected similar, if not more, action and thrill from Akshay in "Rustom." But the latest release does not have many enthralling moments to remember the film by. There are also some flaws in the movie that defy logic. One of the scenes shows an antagonist having strong evidence in his hand to put the protagonist behind bars but he merely waits for the police to reach him and collect the proof.

Akshay acting was extremely high, a biggest plus. The actor is known for leading a disciplined life and that perhaps makes it easier for him to carry out such roles without much effort. Heroine Ileana is good. In fact, there is nothing much to show as an actress in the film except shed tears, and her look good. She has managed to do both well. Like the other members of the cast, Esha Gupta carried her role decent and lived in the skin of her character as the mean and arrogant sister of the murdered friend.

Final Word:

“Rustom” - A good to watch for one time. Akshay Kumar impresses with his acting.
