Ever since his world came crashing down following his split from wife Sussanne, Hrithik Roshan has been wanting to hibernate away from work and go on a long break.

The actor, who is nursing a broken heart, is so preoccuppied with his life and problems now that he has finally decided to walk out of Karan Johar's 'Shuddi' - a project he had been dilly-dallying for a while now.

Confirming the buzz, Hrithik Roshan said in a statement: “Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post Shuddhi. For now, I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further. I had the finest experience as an actor can have working with Karan M in Agneepath and I'm sure both my dear Karans (Johar and Malhotra) are going to go beyond with this one! Shuddhi remains a part of me in spirit and I'm sure it will be a landmark in our cinema. I wish them all the best!''

With Hrithik Roshan out of the project, buzz is that Ranbir Kapoor will fill his shoes now. What more, gossip mill is abuzz with the speculation that Deepika Padukone might replace Bebo in the film as well.

With so many developments taking place, we wonder what would be the final fate of 'Shuddhi'?
