Shilpa Shetty donates what?

Actress Shilpa Shetty is the latest Bollywood actress to pledge to donate her eyes post death.

The 38-year-old actress entrepreneur pledged her eyes during her visit to ‘Shani Shinganapur’ shrine in Sonai village in Ahmednagar district through a social organization called Yashwant Samajik Pratisthan.

Prior to that, Shilpa Shetty, along with her father, Surendra Shetty and husband, Raj Kundra in tow, visited the Sai Baba temple in Shirdi to pay obeisance.

The actress-entrepreneur told that post her death, her eyes would be of no use to her and she would consider herself lucky if she could lighten up some other person's life with vision.

Her sister Shamita Shetty too has pledged to donate her eyes through the same organization.

Fresh out of the IPL defeat, the actress told the press gathered outside the shrine that she is trying  to overcome the defeat of her franchise Rajasthan Royals that ended fifth position in the recently-concluded IPL tournament 2014.

“I am trying to forget the defeat. I am sure they will (players of her team) will take lesson from it,” she said.

When asked her opinion on the rising cases of crime against women and her expectations from the newly formed government at the Centre, the actress said that she was thrilled to have BJP leader Narendra Modi at the Centre and she is hopeful that he would take up the issues of safety of women hands-on.
