Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani’ gets ‘A’ Certificate

Rani Mukerji’s upcoming crime drama ‘Mardaani’ has already created a huge buzz with the trailer which captures the high intensity of the film. The latest news is that the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had came down hard on the film with reference to a certain dialogue the film features being mouthed by a politician that says, ‘Mera shauq rape hai’. Even though the producer of the film Aditya Chopra argued with the board members that the said dialogue was necessary for the film, his efforts went in vain. Not only this, the CBFC also took objection to a scene which shows a young girl with blood oozing down her thighs and they asked the makers to delete the scene. Despite these changes, this film which deals with human trafficking has been granted an ‘A’ certificate. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, this film features Rani Mukerji as a fierce cop. This film is slated to release on August 22nd. This is the first release for Rani Mukerji after her marriage with Aditya Chopra. The trailer of the film created a good buzz on the film.
