Kareena denies the rumors on Saif’s ‘Padma Shri’

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, was honored with 'Padma Shri' in 2010 for his contribution in the field of art. Recently, there were rumors that government will soon take back the award as the actor is facing charges for assaulting an NRI businessman. However, Saif’s wife actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has condemned the rumours and stated that, the government had already issued a letter saying that they are not revoking the award.

This ‘Humshakals’ actor is facing allegations for hitting a South Africa-based businessman Iqbal Sharma, on his nose at a Colaba hotel in February 2012 and a Mumbai court has framed charges against him for the same. It was reported that Kareena was also present when the incident took place. Saif Ali Khan was unavailable for the comment.
