Super talented actress Vidya Balan is back with her latest outing Begum Jaan. Srijit Mukherji directed the movie and Vidya Balan, Ila Arun, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajit Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vivek Mushran, Chunky Pandey, Gauahar Khan and Pallavi Sharda essayed the lead roles in the movie. Begum Jaan is all set during the backdrop of Independence and during the partition of India and Pakistan. Begum Jaan released all over yesterday.

Begum Jaan received mixed response from the audience however Vidya Balan’s performance has been widely praised by the audience all over. Begum Jaan started low however it picked up during the evening shows. Begum Jaan collected Rs 3.94 crores on its first day across the country. Made on a decent budget, the movie is expected to make decent figures during the weekend. However the weekdays are expected to be crucial for the movie. Vishesh Films produced Begum Jaan.
