Shahid Kapoor Turns Tommy Singh

Super talented young actor Shahid Kapoor is one of the most promising actors in Indian cinema. Though he failed to score super hits in the recent times, he has been busy with back to back films. His performance in the movie Haider received critical acclaim all over and his last movie Shandaar has been declared as the biggest debacle in the recent times.

Shahid Kapoor is currently shooting for his next movie titled Udta Punjab which is said to be a thriller. Abhishek Chaubey directed the movie and Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh will be seen in other crucial roles in the film. Amit Trivedi is the music composer and Rajeev Ravi is the cinematographer for the movie.

The makers have released the first poster of Udta Punjab showcasing Shahid Kapoor in a never seen avatar. Shahid has been showcased as Tommy Singh which is completely grungy and badass. His sculpted shirtless body with six pack abs and tattoos will leave everyone stunning and surprising. Sources revealed that Shahid plays a rockstar in the movie who gets involved in a drug situation in Punjab.

The makers have even revealed the motion poster of Shahid’s look and the first trailer of Udta Punjab will be out on April 16th. Shoba Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl produced the movie on Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films banners. Udta Punjab has been aimed for release across the world on June 17th all over.
