ANR Postal Stamp Released

Telugu Film Industry's legend Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao passed away this year. On the occasion of his 91st Birthday, Akkineni Foundation of America (AFA) has released a postal stamp of the Legend.  The event has been graced by Dr A S Narayana, a close associate of Dr ANR and Akkineni Adithya, grandson of ANR attended as a special guest for the occasion. The grand ceremony has been held in Dallas, Texas. Dr ANR is the first Indian on which a postal stamp has been released in USA.

Unfortunately, none of the family members from Akkineni family attended the event from India.  However, Hero Nagarjuna has sent a special video message  presented by AFA for this special occasion appreciating AFA for their efforts in bringing out US Postal stamp on his father.  Dr ANR’s was last seen in Akkineni multistarrer Manam which ended as a blockbuster at the box-office. AFA screened Manam for the community as complimentary who attended this grand event. Akkineni family celebrated ANR jayanthi in a grand way in Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad. The whole family members attended the event which also witnessed the 100 days event of Manam and Platinum disc function of Naga Chaitanya’s Oka Laila Kosam.
