Analysis :

Tungabhadra Movie Review

The first half has been pleasant and narrated with lot of confidence along with clarity. Satyaraj, Adith and Dimple take over the film with their performances on a decent pace and the entertainment levels have been good enough to get some decent impact. The interval scenes have been quite interesting and on the whole the first half of the movie has been impressive.

The second half of the film is a complete spoiler as it dips down completely. Every sequence in the second half has been completely predictable and we can resemble each and every scene with one in other telugu film. The entertainment levels go down and the second half lacks freshness. The screenplay which needs to be gripping failed to make the impact. On the whole the second half is a total downfall.

Performance :

Satyaraj is the asset for the film and he has carried the film with his performance. However we have already seen him in this character in the past movies like Mirchi. He has been fantastic throughout the film. Adith Arun will sure make his comeback after this movie and he has delivered a stunning performance in the movie. Dimple has been impressive with her performance in the movie. All the other actors have delivered out their best in the film.

The story has been thin and has nothing new which is about a rival game. The screenplay should have been taken good care which makes the difference in the second half. The songs and the background score of the film are the assets for the film. The cinematography has been terrific and the village locations have been eye scenic. The production values have been grand enough and the director could not make an impact with his direction because of the predictable and weak second half.

Final Word:

Tungabhadra is a film with depth but it has not been handled in the right way which makes the film fall flat. A better second half of the movie with some interesting narration could have made the difference. On the whole it is a disappointment.
