Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is back almost after a year with Katamarayudu which released last Friday. Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly) directed the movie and the film is said to be a family entertainer laced with action. Shruti Haasan essayed the heroine’s role in the movie and Ali, Ajay, Siva Balaji, Chaitanya Krishna, Kamal Kamaraju played the other crucial roles in the movie. Katamarayudu released in record number of screens last Friday and the film received decent response from the audience.

Katamarayudu minted massive figures over the first weekend however the film witnessed massive dip over the weekdays. Katamarayudu collected Rs 42.45 crores in six days across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The figures have been quite high on Wednesday because of Ugadi. Anup Rubens composed the music and Sharat Marar produced Katamarayudu on North Star Entertainments banner. Katamarayudu raked over Rs 50 crores in its full run all over.
