Mega Director Srinu Vaitla scored many blockbusters in his career with small actors and he emerged as one of the leading directors in Tollywood. After he started movies with leading actors, he tasted back to back debacles and list includes Aagadu and Bruce Lee. Srinu Vaitla had great understanding with his writers Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan. After the misunderstandings reached the media, the duo got separated and it was Ramcharan, Megastar Chiranjeevi who brought them under one roof for the film Bruce Lee. The movie released recently for Dasara and bombed at the box-office.

After the movie ended as a debacle, Kona Venkat is getting ready to file a defamation suit against the director Srinu Vaitla. He revealed that the original script was different and the movie that has been shot was completelty different. He mentioned that as he has been given credit for the story, he decided to file a defamation suit worth Rs 10 crores and he even ordered Srinu Vaitla for a public apology. Kona Venkat also said that he will upload the original script online for the Mega fans to know the original truth. Rakul Preet Singh played the female lead in the movie and SS Thaman composed the music. DVV Danayya produced Bruce Lee in which Megastar Chiranjeevi played a cameo.
