Effect of high heels on your body

Scientists from Stanford University have proved that extended use of high heels can cause wide range of health problems. It was proved that wearing high heels often leads to back pain, hip and neck problems. Experts also proved that women who 3-inch heels regularly could suffer from an injury to the Achilles tendon called tendonitis.
The researchers scanned the knees of healthy woman as they walked at a normal place in flat shoes, with 1.5 inch helps and 3.5 inch heels. They found that the knees of women who wear high heels are held in awkward, bent position causing the joints damaged and also increased the risk of osteoarthritis.
Physiotherapist and osteopath Tim Allardyce stated that “standing and walking on the balls of your feet throws the skeleton out of its usual, healthy alignment, which means muscles and joints throughout the body have to compensate to maintain its centre of gravity and keep the body upright".
So , it is advised not to use high heels often to protect your body posture and spine.
