Rajinikanth’s 2.0 walks out of Diwali Race

Superstar Rajinikanth is busy shooting for his next movie titled 2.0 which is the costliest Indian film made. Directed by Shankar, the movie is said to be a treat for the audience which has a huge dose of VFX effects throughout. Amy Jackson is the female lead and Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist in the movie. The makers initially announced that the film will release during Diwali this year. The entire shoot of the film is expected to be wrapped up by the end of April.

However the makers revealed that the film will not release during Diwali this year as Shankar needs enough time for post-production work. 2.0 will now release on January 25th next year. To achieve the world class standards in VFX, the makers decided to opt out of Diwali race. AR Rahman is composing the music and Lyca Productions are producing the movie.
