Rajinikanth’s Lingaa Release Problems

Rajinikanth was last seen in Shankar’s Robo though he acted in an animated movie Vikramasimha recently. It has been 4 long years after Robo and Rajini has not been on silver screen recently. However his latest movie Lingaa is gearing up for a massive release on December 12th on the eve of Rajinikanth’s birthday. The latest news is that the movie has been facing legal problems. Ravi Ratnam, a producer from Chennai has lodged a petition in Chennai High Court demanding to stop the release of the movie. The reason for the claim is that the story of Lingaa has been copied from his movie Mullai Vanam 999 which has hit the screens in 2013.

Rajinikanth, Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha played the main leads in Lingaa and the movie has been directed by KS Ravikumar. AR Rahman composed the music which will release in this month. Jagapathi Babu will be seen in an important role. Lingaa has been produced by Rockline Venkatesh on Rockline Entertainments banner. The director and the producer remained unavailable to respond on the petition claimed. Let’s wait to see the reaction of Lingaa makers and the court decision on the producer’s petition. More updates soon.
