Ajith's Thala 55 to release for Pongal

Thala Ajith's next flick directed by Gautham Menon has been progressing at a rapid pace. The film starring Ajith, Anushka and Trisha in the lead was expected to hit the screens in November. But the latest buzz suggests that the film may hit the screens for Pongal in January 2015. Harris Jayaraj is scoring the music for the film and Dan Macarthur is handling the cinematography.

The yet to be titled movie 'Thala 55' is a cop flick produced by AM Rathnam. Meanwhile, music director Harris Jayaraj is prepping his new studio and 'Thala55' will be the first movie he will be composing for at the new state of the art premises. Ajith is playing a dad to a little girl in the film with Trisha being his wife. While the star actor will shoot with a black hair for these portions, Ajith would be back to his natural grey haired look when he starts shooting again with Anushka.
